Please do not include sensitive diary or health information in your support email unless it is necessary to explain the problem.

Where is my diary stored?

Your Mitos diary is stored locally on your device. Mitos does not operate a central cloud database for diary entries.

Do I need an account?

No. Mitos does not require a Mitos account or sign-in.

Does Mitos automatically back up my diary?

No. Backups are created manually by you. Mitos can remind you when it may be time to create another backup, but it does not automatically upload your diary.

How do backups work?

Mitos creates an encrypted backup file on your device. You choose where to save or share that file using your device's file or sharing interface.

Can you recover my backup password?

No. Mitos does not retain your backup passphrase and the developer cannot recover it for you.

What happens if I delete Mitos?

Deleting the app may remove the diary stored locally on your device. If you want to preserve your diary, create an encrypted backup and store it safely before deleting Mitos or changing devices.

Does Mitos send my health information to the developer?

No. Mitos does not transmit your diary or health information to the developer.

Does Mitos use analytics or advertising?

No. Mitos does not include advertising, analytics or application telemetry.

Can I use Mitos with my psychiatrist or psychologist?

Mitos includes summaries intended to help you review information you have recorded and support conversations with a care provider.

These summaries are not a medical assessment and do not provide a diagnosis or treatment recommendation.

Is Mitos a medical device?

No. Mitos is a personal diary and reflection tool. It is not a diagnostic system, medical assessment, crisis service or replacement for professional healthcare.

Need urgent help?

Mitos is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent medical assistance, contact your local emergency service or healthcare provider.
